Our Commitment to
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
On August 7, Head of School Lee Fertig and Board Co-chairs Kathleen Donahue and Gerald Risk shared that a new task force has been established to evaluate, analyze, and create a more inclusive, equitable, and safe Nueva for current and future Black and Latinx community members. The task force will also support those who experience some level of marginalization in our Nueva family. Our dedicated task force will update the Nueva community on their findings and recommendations during the coming year.
CAMPUS UPDATE:
LEARNING TO BEGIN REMOTE

Numerous factors within our own community—limitations in human resources, challenges in transporting students and employees across multiple counties, and the increasing level of health concerns among different stakeholder groups——led us to the conclusion that the NuevaFlex model, a robust hybrid approach to learning that predominantly involved most of us on campus for large periods of time, was no longer feasible. We will begin the new school year online.

Opportunities to
Support our Nueva Community

As we begin the school year remotely, we anticipate needs will arise to support our Nueva community with remote learning, tutoring and other assistance. In the coming weeks, we will invite the alumni community to consider participating in these efforts. Please stay tuned for more information.

13th Annual
Nueva Cup Golf Tournament
Due to gathering restrictions, the Nueva Cup will now be remote—go figure, our 13th annual golf tournament would run into some bad luck!

This cherished event will feature a new format, where all registered participants will independently complete their round of golf over the month of October and submit their scores by Saturday, Oct. 31.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the alumni and athletics programs.
